Daily Meditation~May 30th

When life has you down and a huge door seems to close, when your heart rate rises, breath gets shallow, tears start welling up, have your moment and let it pass. Blow it out. Wisk it off of your body physically with your hands. Release that energy; don’t let it rest for long. We all go through disappointments. More likely than not, it is the Universe showing us what we need to let go of when we are not confident enough to let go of it ourselves. When this happens, new and wonderful opportunities will arise. Variety is the spice of life and the Universe, your true self, does not want you to be at a standstill. It always wants you to excel, have experiences and live a full life. The Universe brings you closer to what you have living deep within your heart.

Daily Meditation~May 29th

We ARE, where we need to BE, in this very MOMENT. I awoke this morning to my phone that was ringing off the hook. I had originally prepared a serene day and was really looking forward to it. Surely my ringing phone was not a good sign. Sure enough, it was a phone call from a relative that needed to be taken to the hospital. I rushed to get myself out the door and for a glimpse had a sigh of “darn, there goes my day.” I quickly let that go and did a breathing meditation while I was getting ready, while walking to my car, while driving (no music). Anytime thoughts would arise about my worries from missing my errands and classes, I would substitute those with deep breaths and by saying “Sat Nam” (saht-nahm) which is a Kundalini Yoga term that means “Truth is my identity and I call upon the eternal Truth that resides in all of us.” But you can say anything you like that calms you down. In doing so, it helped me release the push and tug of what I was missing, where I needed to be, or complaining about it all. It made me realize that I am where I am always for a purpose. That breath released all of the stress that was rearing it’s mischievous head. We ARE, where we need to BE, in this very MOMENT.

Release. Are you able to notice when it is so hard to release sometimes? The tightness we feel in our body, our stomach, chest, our breath. We hold onto the tightness as if letting go would take us away with it. We grasp on for dear life and we don’t want to let it go. But we can find a serene and calming resting place when all is be in shambles around us, but it is not touching our center. In the newest Indiana Jones movie, there is a scene where killer ants invade a chase while Indi is fighting with his opposer. A crystal skull with super powers lays watch next to Indiana Jones. As the killer ants are making their way towards the fight, they feel the skulls undeniable power and it creates a force field that the ants avoid and sidestep around the fight, thereby saving Indi from meeting his fate with a bunch of ants. In any case, the skull in that moment represents what in our day to day life is our center, where peace resides. Where nothing can harm us. Where beauty is and always will be and where our power begins and ends. Release all that you hold onto. Release it for all time.

Words. Words. Let us be mindful with our words. Let us be kind and gentle with the words we use when we talk to ourselves in prayer, in thought and let us be kind and gentle when we speak to others. Let us mind our tone and know that the way in which we say things affects those around us. Operate from a place of purity and understanding. Words can cut so deep and the tone of voice can stab in just the spot where it can hurt for days and permeate our memories. Operate from a fulfilling place of love and notice how this shift changes your days, your relationships, your being. Love the words you speak and the people that you speak them to. They will reward you.

Daily Meditation~May 23rd

Surround yourself with positive news. Give yourself the gift of peace. Although it might be challenging at first, know and in your heart believe that a world with true peace is happening. It starts with one person, expecting the best and not the worst for the movement to catch on. When you are sure of the abundance, great health and love that you are receiving daily and that others around you are receiving daily, your heart and vibration soars and it is contagious. Be the catalyst for change and surround yourself with all that is good. Make sure to operate from a place of true happiness, the Universe knows when you are just going through the motions. Really be present and go about your day with energy, exuberance and a smile on your face and pass it on!
